Sonya Zepeda knows luxury, and she knows how to sell it. Born in Arizona, Sonya spent her childhood traveling the globe, finding home in places as diverse as New York, DC, Chile, and Africa. This international upbringing followed her into adulthood: after earning her degree from the University of Madrid, Sonya began a career in PR and marketing for high-end jewelry companies in New York City before transitioning to the mortgage industry. It wasn’t long before she heard the siren call of real estate. “Mortgage and real estate go hand in hand. They both require strong negotiation skills and a firm knowledge of how to assemble contracts and close deals.” Between these two industries, Sonya has more than twenty years of experience and has originated approximately $500,000,000 in loans.
Sonya specializes in resort residential real estate and development and preferred lending for her developers and developer clients. During her time as a senior sales representative at the Ritz Carlton Paradise Valley, she sold almost $300,000,000; when she moved to Maui in 2018, she quickly became the island’s number one producer, selling more than $149,000,000. In 2020, Sonya joined the Danley Family as Director of Development Services and AZ Mortgage Broker, bringing with her a well-honed business savvy and client-focused approach. Her natural ability to develop strong relationships with clients, as well as her love of the deal, distinguish Sonya as one of the top agents in her field.
When Sonya isn’t doing mortgages, she’s playing with her foster pups or indulging in one of her favorite pastimes — pickleball.
